Estimator
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyzing project plans, specifications, and documents to determine project requirements.
- Estimating the costs of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for construction projects.
- Performing quantity takeoffs and calculating the quantities of materials needed.
- Liaising with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and obtain quotes.
- Conducting cost analysis and exploring cost-saving opportunities through value engineering.
- Preparing comprehensive and competitive bids or proposals for construction projects.
- Tracking and monitoring project costs against the estimated budget.
- Maintaining accurate records of estimates, cost data, and project documentation.
- Collaborating with project managers and accounting teams for budget management.
- Staying up-to-date with construction industry trends, building codes, and pricing fluctuations.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associates Degree in Construction Management/ Related Field or 3 Years’ Experience Preferred.
Project Manager
Role & Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing the construction team, including hiring and supervising personnel.
- Ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Monitoring project progress, identifying potential issues, and implementing solutions.
- Conducting regular site inspections and quality control to maintain high standards.
- Managing project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and permits.
- Facilitating effective communication among project stakeholders.
- Negotiating and managing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Handling project financials, including budget tracking and cost control measures.
- Resolving conflicts and addressing any issues that arise during the construction process.
- Conducting project meetings and providing regular status updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Managing project risks and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensuring timely completion of projects within budgetary and time constraints.
- Overseeing project closeout, including final inspections, punch lists, and documentation.
- Continuously learning and staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to enhance project management efficiency.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Construction Management/Related Field or 3 Years Experience Preferred.
Superintendent
Role & Responsibilities
- Managing and supervising day-to-day construction activities on the project site.
- Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Monitoring and enforcing adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Overseeing the work progress, quality control, and resolving any construction issues that may arise.
- Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality expectations.
- Managing and coordinating the schedules and activities of subcontractors and construction personnel.
- Tracking and reporting project progress, including milestones, delays, and changes.
- Ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping of project activities, including site reports and incident reports.
- Managing project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency.
- Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to establish project priorities and milestones.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- At least 5 years’ worth of superintendent experience
- Must provide proof of NC Driver’s License
Internships
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide project support to upper level management.
- Send, receive, correct & modify project documents
- Coordinate and maintain vendor & supplier database records
- Assist with submittals and solicit bids
- Basic estimating & take offs
- On site project supervision
- Perform general clerical duties
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must be a current student attending and accredited college or university in a construction management or related field of study.
- Must provide own transportation
